Visiting the biggest private book collection in Austria

So I visited a Historic Library the other day that was a part of a Monestry – by the way the biggest private book collection in Austria. It’s the home and resting place of 240,000 Books and other historical writings. Where the oldest book in there is 1,200 years old!! Wow!! Imagine a book being that old and still in condition to be opened and read.
I often enjoy going to libraries or book stores to maybe find a new book or even read a good article that may be in a paper or magazine. It doesn’t really matter which one I just enjoy reading. Often I visit those places just for the basic public setting but quiet atmosphere. Reading has been a hobby of mine since I was in College. It helps me silence and ease my mind, body and soul. There are nights when I’m trying to go to sleep but I need a bit of help so I get into bed and grab a book and read and it gets the job done every time. Before games I´m sometimes too excited and I need to settle my nerves and center my thoughts reading and that does the trick of silencing my mind and putting myself in a more calm state of mind. I need help with calming and silencing my mind before games sometimes. Of course I read for personal interest and knowledge. I’ve become a fan of a few Authors over the past few years whose books I gravitate to when I’m searching for a new book. I enjoy Gary Zukav, Joyce Mayer, Ekhart Tolle, Dan Brown and The well known Psychologist Carl R. Rodgers just to name a few.
Visited the Library gave me the inspiration to do a small piece on Reading and how it has been a huge part of my development and growth as a person. So not only do I focus and enjoy working on a balanced healthy physical life but Reading helps me stay healthy and balance emotionally and spiritually as well.
(with special thanks to Dr. Martin Haltrich for the chance to visit this Library)
